I have good friends

I always thought that having the TNT post guy come to your door with oversized items was a myth, but I happened to be home and got two awesome things today: English tea from Sungyon and a shit ton of Copic markers from Kristina. Holy crap, I love you.

Kristina also sent out scarves, sparkle sponges, and crazy dishwashing gloves a while back to Pink Staples, and it eerily arrived coincidentally the day after I decided on my dishwashing ritual for class.

And Stephanie has been sending me postcards. I think you’re putting enough postage on them, so stop worrying.

And last, but not least, I requested an LSC calendar so I could look at my term at a glance. I got like 3 because I didn’t know what colors to pick to go with my room.

Tomorrow I leave to go around Germany for a few days before the next quarter settles down on me.

And yes, I stayed up all night watching the polls and Obama’s speech live. … Hooray!
And yes, there is still sadness on the LGBT front…

Sungyon came to visit!

sungyon 2008.10.23-25 – 044

We went to Dutch Design Week (yes, part 2 for me) and also to Amsterdam for Sungyon’s birthday. (Many thanks to Marlous for letting us crash at her place.)

Design Week was less interesting this time than I thought it would be. I may have needed to know more about the things that were there, but it wasn’t as inspiring as I had hoped… There are some photos up on Flickr anyway. Speaking of which, it only shows 200 of my photos at a time, so until I get suckered into paying, seeing some of my older photos may not work.

And since I think my most loyal reader of my blog is Mom (hi Mom!), I’m linking to the slideshow so it’ll be easier for her to look at everything.

london 2008.09.19-21 – 35

So I’m trying out flickr to share London pictures with those who don’t have facebook…

It’s still kind of scary.

OK, trying the slideshow out, so bear with me now.

Anyway, I never thought I would do that “buy before you fly” stuff, but I decided to invest in a point-and-shoot. It paid off, I think. I’m definitely glad to have gotten to see Sungyon. It was also like 50 euros cheaper at the airport with the coupon from my ticket than the camera store in Delft. I hope I didn’t look too suspicious unwrapping parts and throwing the box away at the airport moments after purchase.
